Dining At Newforge
We have a small orchard which provides fruits for desserts, chutneys and preserves, and is home to our chickens that lay eggs for breakfast. For those wanting to experience the infamous Ulster Fry, we use the best local produce and freshly baked breads- including Moyallon dry cured bacon and Lurgan butcher, Madden’s award winning sausages – all freshly cooked to order by John.We have an extensive drinks list which, in addition to wines, includes many excellent local craft beers, ciders, gins and vodkas.
Our gin list features gins from around the world, including Shortcross gin from Downpatrick in Northern Ireland. We also make our own gin and vodka infusions using home grown fruits such as raspberries, blackberries, damsons and sloes.
Our three-course seasonal dinner with coffee or tea is served at 8.00pm, Tuesday – Saturday, at £44.00 per person. Dinner is by reservation only and must be made by 12noon on the day of dining. We are happy to cater for any special dietary requirements with 24 hours notice. Dinner guests who are not staying overnight are asked to arrive by 7.30pm to peruse the menu and enjoy a drink in our drawing room. Please call 02892 611255 to make your dinner reservation. Light meal options of homemade soup, sandwiches, salads and dessert of the day are available for residents on Sunday and Monday evenings. We offer a variety of dinner, bed and breakfast special offers throughout the year.
